Premier League

The Premier League is the top professional football (soccer) league in England. It was founded in 1992 and comprises 20 teams that compete annually in a system of promotion and relegation with the English Football League (EFL). The league runs on a points-based system, where teams earn three points for a win, one point for a draw, and none for a loss. The team with the most points at the end of the season is crowned the champion. The Premier League is known for its high level of competition, bringing together some of the best football clubs and players globally, and is widely regarded as one of the most popular and lucrative football leagues in the world.
